Using Retention Options

Define the default settings for retention in the Retention Options screen. The system is delivered with the most common defaults.

You can set the Close End of Day (EOD) process to run retention based on the Retention Processing every (30-90 days) setting.

1. When you first enter the Retention Options function a screen of default values will appear. Refer to Retention Options for an explanation of the default values. Command options will appear:

• Exit – Select Exit to the System menu.
• Change – Select Change to make changes to the Retention Options.

Select Change.

2. Use the arrow, Enter, Tab keys to navigate between fields. Make the necessary changes. Press the Enter, Tab, or Page Down keys when finished to move to the bottom of the screen.

3. Command options will appear:

• Change – Select Change to make additional changes to the Retention Options.
• Update – Select Update to save changes.
• Exit – Select Exit to exit without saving changes. The following message will appear: "Exit without updating?"
  • Select no to return to the command options.
  • Select yes to exit and return to the System menu.

Select Update.

Important: Your changes will not be saved unless you select Update.
